Senior Lieutenant Rostyslav Yashchyshyn, spokesperson for the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, said this on Espreso TV."Right now there’s a race to see who can come up with something new. We too are developing technologies, but the enemy isn’t standing still either. The situation on the frontline is dynamic and extremely dangerous. At present, the Lyman direction, along with Pokrovsk, has become one of the two hottest sectors on the frontline," Yashchyshyn noted.According to the spokesperson of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, Lyman today resembles a horror movie."Lyman has for quite some time not exactly been dead: there are still civilians there, a few shops still operate. But the city looks more like scenes from Hollywood zombie apocalypse films. You drive through it in broad daylight, and it’s empty: nothing there, no people, no animals. Maybe a few stray dogs run around somewhere, and everywhere are ruins. It’s horrifying what Russia has done to that city, which was once considered one of the Donetsk region’s resort towns. The surrounding area is beautiful—rich nature, pine forests, lakes. It was a very picturesque city. And now there’s nothing beautiful left—just ruins. And that’s a tragedy," Yashchyshyn emphasized.Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces cleared the village of Volodymyrivka in Volnovakha district of Donetsk region from Russian troops and also liberated the village of Zarychne.
