The commander of the 429th Separate UAV Regiment ACHILLES, Yuriy Fedorenko, stated this on Espreso TV."In the Dvorichna area, where the occupying Russian forces managed to cross the Oskil River, they were able to take up several prepared positions. Unfortunately, from there, they managed to push back the Defense Forces of Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had well-prepared positions in these areas. As for the engineering preparation of the positions, the enemy is digging in quite well. However, it’s not accurate to say that they’ve built engineering and fortification structures along the entire front line, as they do on their primary defense lines," he said.According to Yuriy Fedorenko, the Russian army does not spare their personnel. During attempts to cross the Oskil River, they become easy targets for the Ukrainian Defense Forces."As for standard pontoon crossings across the Oskil River, that’s the enemy’s dream. Imagine, they are carrying ammunition for the 120mm mortars on foot. So, they’ve managed to carry the mortars, but they can’t manage the logistics. Then come the 'camels,' which are personnel carrying the logistics on their own. They take a bag or a backpack, then cross the Oskil River, but many don’t reach their destination. Our units actively destroy them. However, when the enemy operates with their cheapest resource — personnel — this becomes their cheapest logistics method," the commander summarized. On August 29, 172 combat encounters were recorded along the Russian-Ukrainian front. On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 50 enemy assault actions.
