A strong and just peace is needed,” said the Polish minister.He also called it the best decision to invite Zelenskyy to the Trump–Putin talks in Alaska, scheduled for August 15.“I believe President Zelenskyy will be invited; today there is information suggesting there’s a chance that President Trump’s meeting with Putin will take place with President Zelenskyy’s participation. That would be the best decision, and I believe it will happen,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said.According to him, he spoke last week with Trump’s closest advisers, who expressed determination to achieve peace in Ukraine. At the same time, the deputy prime minister stressed: “Poland will do everything to ensure such a just peace takes place.”Trump earlier announced he would meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.When asked what he would discuss with Putin regarding the conditions for ending Russia's war against Ukraine, Trump previously mentioned the topic of “some exchange of territories.”Diplomatic consultations between Ukraine and the U.S. are ongoing almost around the clock ahead of the summit.Meanwhile, the NYT reports that the U.S. Secret Service has booked a six-room house in Anchorage, where the meeting between Trump and Putin is likely to take place.
