The Center for Countering Disinformation reported the information.According to the report, the tugboat Captain Ushakov began listing to starboard during finishing construction work. Despite efforts to save the vessel, it ultimately sank completely.“This incident further confirms the ongoing problems within the Russian Navy. As the Center has previously noted, Russia struggles to maintain even its aging warships,” the Center stated. The Center cited delays in modernizing the anti-submarine ship Admiral Chabanenko and the effective decommissioning of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov as examples.Additionally, this year’s main naval parade in St. Petersburg, originally scheduled for July 27, was canceled."These cases underline Russia’s inability to maintain even key elements of its fleet, which is a crucial tool for an aggressive foreign policy. Instead of building new ships, Russia can’t even keep the old ones operational," the Center concluded.Last year, none of the ships Ukraine claimed to have destroyed or damaged appeared in the Russian Navy Day parade.
