Three days of Russian bombing disrupt Kherson, authorities evacuate vulnerable residents

Russian troops launched another airstrike on Kherson, targeting the Ostrivsky Bridge for the third day in a row, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.Preliminary reports indicate the latest attack killed one man. The day before, one person was injured. Several strikes hit the bridge, disrupting traffic, though it remains partially passable.Prokudin said approximately 1,800 residents remain in the city’s Korabel district, including 187 with limited mobility and 31 children. Evacuation efforts are underway, with 35 vehicles available, including ambulances. Temporary shelter has been prepared for evacuees.So far, about 50 residents have requested evacuation, 18 of them with mobility issues. Seven families with children have agreed to leave.On the evening of Saturday, August 2, 2025, Russian forces attacked Kherson by dropping two guided aerial bombs, damaging the bridge leading to the Korabel neighborhood.
