Ukrainian military blogger Serhiy Misiura shared this on Espreso TV."I want to clarify — despite some foreign analysts mentioning encirclement or the capture of Chasiv Yar, Pokrovsk, and other cities, it’s all about scale," he said. "If you look at the Deep State map or even Google Maps and zoom in on Kostiantynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk, you’ll see the actual distances. You’ll also see which parts of Chasiv Yar are occupied and which remain under our control. The city is stretched out, and that elongated section is still held by our forces."Serhiy Misyura noted that he was uncertain how long it would be possible to say that Chasiv Yar remains unoccupied, since Ukraine’s 24th Brigade and several other related units are stationed there, supporting the defense. He added, “The thing is, these foreign observers tend to look at the situation as if on a map or scale. If you zoom out a lot, you can see there’s a kind of semi-ring around Pokrovsk. But if you zoom in — and I know these roads well, having been there many times — I understand where each settlement is: Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, and what’s happening in Chasiv Yar. When you are on the ground, as I was, and understand the scale and location of everything, you realize that talking about semi-encirclement or encirclement is far from accurate. However, if foreign observers only look from a zoomed-out perspective, it might seem that Pokrovsk is semi-encircled or encircled. In reality, that’s not the case. Chasiv Yar is not fully occupied; the 24th Brigade has been holding the area for quite some time, conducting what’s called a maneuver defense. So, while the situation complicated around Chasiv Yar, it remains unoccupied, and Pokrovsk is not surrounded,” the military blogger emphasized.
