HUR reported the operation publicly.“As part of a large-scale cyber operation, intelligence officers accessed the servers of the so-called 'government of Crimea.’ These servers contained documentation confirming the forced relocation of children from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine,” the statement said. The cyber team managed to extract thousands of files, including lists of deported children and detailed profiles of abducted minors left without guardians. HUR also obtained records of illegal decisions to assign Russian citizens as new guardians to orphaned children, as well as addresses of the new residences where the kidnapped Ukrainian children have been relocated.HUR representative Andriy Yusov stated that the files containing information on the abduction of Ukrainian children have been handed over to law enforcement agencies. Authorities will analyze the data and include it in ongoing criminal investigations.“This information will help locate and bring home abducted children and hold those responsible for these crimes accountable,” Yusov emphasized.
