US President Donald Trump has sharply criticised Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, saying in strong terms that he talks a lot of nonsense.

Details : The US president reiterated that the war unleashed by Russia should never have started and then launched into a tirade against Putin.

"We get a lot of bulls**t thrown at us by Putin. You want to know the truth. He is very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless," he said.

When asked about possible fresh sanctions against Russia, Trump replied that he is considering them.
