The announcement came from Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov.Umerov said 10 brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will take part in the pilot launch. The Ministry of Defense has allocated 1 billion hryvnias to the Defense Procurement Agency for this purpose. These brigades will now be able to order FPV drones through the State Logistics Operator’s IT system, and soon, other UAVs, electronic warfare systems, and robotic units.“Each unit will be able to choose exactly what it needs for its mission. Meanwhile, the Defense Procurement Agency will handle funding and delivery without the usual red tape. Supplies will now take weeks, not months,” Umerov said. How the system worksMilitary units choose, order, and reserve what they need directly. They also see delivery times, leave feedback, and get quick responses.Producers gain a clear process for working with the military and the state, plus direct feedback from troops. The government sees actual needs on the front, makes data-based decisions, supports defense industry growth, and helps bring in new tech.Umerov described DOT-Chain Defence as a kind of weapons marketplace designed to quickly meet the needs of the front. He called it “a transparent, competitive, fully digital system based on the army’s proven food supply model.”Back in February, the Ministry of Defense announced a new drone supply model using the DOT-Chain system. On June 27, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution to expand DOT-Chain’s use, now not just for logistics gear, but also lethal weaponry. The platform will allow military units to order what they need, while the Defense Procurement Agency provides funding and delivery. The goal is to cut delivery times from months to weeks.
