Diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko said this in an interview for the European Space program with Yuriy Fizer on Espreso TV."After the invitation to negotiations on joining the EU, Ukraine has finally become part of the European economic and security space. And today, at the cost of great sacrifices, we are defending not only ourselves but also our European partners," Ohryzko noted.According to the diplomat, unfortunately, Europe's response to Russian strikes on Ukraine remains insufficient."I will speak frankly: when our cities are attacked daily by missiles and Shaheds, and from Europe we only hear 'we will help you someday', it looks weak. After all, our allies already have the ability to shoot down these missiles over Ukraine, without fearing that Moscow will call it entering the war. That would be real security support—Europeans protecting Ukraine just as we protect them. At the same time, they are not entering into war with the aggressor, but merely eliminating the threat," Ohryzko emphasized. The diplomat cited the example of the Middle East, where the U.S. and the UK shoot down Iranian missiles flying toward Israel. And no one says they are at war with Iran."Why can’t we receive the same support from partners whom we are defending with our own blood? This question should be key at the president’s meetings at NATO and Council of Europe summits. Statements alone are no longer enough—it’s time for action," Ohryzko stressed. In June, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 4,758 Russian aerial targets. Most of them were Shaheds.
