Trump blames Zelenskyy, Biden and Putin for war

US President Donald Trump has blamed not only Russian leader Vladimir Putin, but also his predecessor Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Details: Trump once again stated that during his presidency, "Putin wouldn't even bring it up" [a war against Ukraine – ed.], and that Joe Biden could have prevented it "by lowering oil prices," but didn’t.
Quote: "So now what do you do? You get a country where 25% of its territory is gone and the best locations, with millions of people killed... This was Biden’s war, and I’m trying to stop it. And I think we’ll do a good job. I hope we're gonna do."
Details:The US President went on to say that the war in Ukraine should never have been allowed to happen: "Biden could’ve stopped it and Zelenskyy could’ve stopped it, and Putin shouldn’t have started it."
"Everyone is to blame," Trump concluded.
He later repeated this claim, saying that you have "millions of people dead because of three people".
Quote: "Let’s say Putin is number one. Biden, who had no idea what the hell he was doing, is number two. And Zelenskyy. And all I can do is try to stop it. I want to stop the killing. And I think we’re doing well in that regard. I think you’ll have some very good proposals very soon."
Background:
- Just hours earlier, Trump said that both Biden and Zelenskyy had "allowed" Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine to begin.
- These remarks came the day after Russia launched two ballistic missile strikes on central Sumy, killing at least 35 civilians.
