Finnish president pays unannounced visit to Trump: Ukraine among topics discussed

Finnish President Alexander Stubb paid an informal visit to the United States on Saturday 29 March to meet with US President Donald Trump in Florida.
Source Trump and Stubb on social media, as reported by European Pravda Details The two leaders discussed strengthening the bilateral partnership, the situation in Ukraine, and played golf.
I met with Donald Trump at MaraLago, Florida on Saturday 29 March.
During the visit, we discussed relations between Finland and the US and current foreign policy issues, including Ukraine, Stubb wrote on X Twitter, posting a photo of him and Trump with golf clubs.
President Stubb and I look forward to strengthening the partnership between the United States and Finland, and that includes the purchase and development of a large number of badly needed Icebreakers for the US, delivering Peace and International Security for our Countries, and the World, Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
Background Notably, on 19 March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Stubb in Helsinki.
The Finnish presidents office stated that Stubbs unannounced visit to Trump was informal.
Senator Lindsey Graham has joined Team Trump, as he announced in a post on Twitter.
He also praised Stubbs golf skills, who played golf as a student at Furman University in Grahams home state of South Carolina.
Earlier, Stubb emphasised that Finlands experience demonstrates why Ukraine should never accept Russias terms, as doing so would mean losing its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
