Woman who spied for Russia's FSB under cover of her child detained in Odesa, Ukraine's Security Service reports – photo

The military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine SSU has detained a 39yearold unemployed resident of Odesa Oblast on suspicion of passing militaryrelated information to the Russians.
Source SSU Odesa Oblast Prosecutors Office Details The data obtained during the investigation indicates that the suspect voluntarily cooperated with a representative of Russian secret services.
She was tasked with collecting and transmitting information about the locations of military facilities in Odesa and the oblast, regardless of their branch or subordination.
The woman agreed to this proposal, with her handler promising assistance in relocating to Russia or Belarus and securing employment for her and her family.
Acting on the Russians orders, the suspect gathered information on the locations of military unit bases, border service facilities, marine infantry sites and recruitment centres.
She also sought details on personnel numbers and the availability of military equipment.
To conceal her reconnaissance activities, the woman would go on socalled walks with her sixyearold son, during which she took photos of potential targets and marked their coordinates on Google Maps.
After these walks with her child, the woman compiled intelligence reports and prepared them for transmission to her Russian handler.
She used photos, videos and screenshots of maps with exact coordinates to pass on the information.
Prosecutors state that in this manner, she managed to transmit data on at least ten locations.
During a search, investigators seized a phone and a tablet containing anonymous chats in a messenger app she used to communicate with the FSB the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
SSU investigators have informed the detainee of the suspicion of high treason committed under martial law.
At the prosecutors request, she has been remanded in custody without the right to bail.
