Czechia saw a record number of cyber incidents in 2024, with DDoS attacks being the most prevalent. The majority of these attacks were attributed to Russian-speaking hacker groups.

The agency reported that 268 cyber incidents were recorded in 2024, an increase of six compared to 2023. The majority of these attacks focused on disrupting system availability, mainly through DDoS attacks. 

Quote:"Most of these attacks are attributed to Russian-speaking hacker groups, a trend that has become more prominent since Russia's invasion of Ukraine," said the agency's director, Lukáš Kintr.
