President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued an order on 11 January to increase the number of drone orders for the Ukrainian military, describing it as a guarantee of independence.

Details: Drone operations and procurement were the focus of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting held on 11 January.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I've heard reports on contracts currently underway and those in the planning stage. It's a shared goal for arms manufacturers, government officials and everyone involved to make this year a record-breaking one for drones of all types while also significantly boosting the production of Ukrainian missiles, artillery and essential equipment.

I've ordered that the number of drone orders be increased. This is already being implemented. Our arsenals are one of the guarantees of our independence, as is the accuracy of our soldiers."

Details: Zelenskyy also expects to conduct greater strikes on Russian territory.
