Energoatom's workforce declines: 3,000 employees signed contracts with Russia, 2,000 left Ukraine

Since the beginning of the fullscale war, the workforce of Energoatom, Ukraines stateowned nuclear power company, has decreased from 35,000 to approximately 30,000 employees.
Source Energoatoms report quoting company head Petro Kotin on 6 January, as reported by InterfaxUkraine Details Nearly 1,000 Energoatoms employees have joined Ukraines forces to defend the country.
Meanwhile, 3,000 workers chose to sign contracts with Rosatom Russian stateowned Nuclear Energy Corporation and stay at the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
Additionally, 2,000 employees have left Ukraine.
Kotin specified that around 5,000 workers of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remain in Ukrainecontrolled territory and are employed in other Energoatom divisions.
Background The completion of construction projects and the development of new power units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant will require an additional 9,000 employees and the recruitment of new staff.
