Details Further sanctions are also proposed against Belarus, targeting about two dozen individuals accused of human rights violations or benefiting materially from ties to the regime of selfproclaimed president Alexander Lukashenko.
EU foreign ministers plan to approve these sanctions packages at a meeting on Monday, 16 December, in Brussels, ahead of elections scheduled in Belarus next month.
The proposals come as the EU finalises its 15th sanctions package against Russia in response to its fullscale invasion of Ukraine.
The new measures include restrictions on over 45 oil tankers involved in the covert transportation of Russian oil and several Chinese companies accused of aiding Moscow in developing attack drones.
Bloomberg added that EU sanctions require unanimous approval from all member states and may be subject to changes.
