The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is introducing a new staff position in the Armed Forces – an authorised representative for procurement of goods, works and services.

Quote : "I signed an order that introduces a new full-time position in each brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine—an authorised person for the acquisition of goods, works, and services.

These specialists will be responsible for planning and organising procurement, preparing tender documentation, analysing the market, searching for suppliers, selecting, and evaluating proposals. Thanks to this, acquisition for our units will be carried out quickly and transparently, taking into account the real needs of soldiers."

Details : Umierov said that a separate task for all authorised representatives would be to eliminate conflicts of interest. He noted that the new position would let separate the military's combat duties from procurement-related tasks.
