Moldovan government reports wave of anonymous death threats across the country

Dorin Recean, Prime Minister of Moldova, reported on Friday 1 November that a wave of death threats was received by residents across the country.

Earlier, a journalist from the Moldovan portal NewsMaker reported that she received a death threat.
An anonymous caller claimed that they know where the journalist lives and has the ability to kill her.

Background The second round of Moldovas presidential election is scheduled for 3 November.
In the first round of Moldovas presidential election, incumbent President Maia Sandu received 42.37 of the vote, while Alexandr Stoianoglo from the Socialist Party secured 26.02.
