Details : A Russian attack drone hit a civilian vehicle that was driving across a bridge in the Odesa district. A woman and her three children were in the car. The mother sustained severe injuries and died in the ambulance. Her three children were taken to hospital with bodily injuries and an acute stress reaction. Doctors are providing them with the necessary medical care.
Kiper stressed that this is yet another cynical war crime by Russia – a strike on civilians.
Kiper has asked drivers to refrain from using the bridge in the area of the Dniester Estuary near the village of Maiaky. The Russians have already attacked this section for the third time, and traffic is difficult.
Kiper also reported that traffic on the Odesa-Reni roadway has been temporarily halted in both directions.
Why it matters: After repeat attacks on the bridge across the bay and the forced closure of that route, the road through Maiaky remained the only roadway connecting the city of Odesa and the south of Odesa Oblast. However, since a small section of it passes through Moldovan territory, traffic on it was complicated.
It is currently unknown how serious the damage to the bridge crossing the Dniester River in Maiaky is.
