Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov has claimed that nearly 410,000 people have voluntarily joined the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces in 2025.

Quote: "We've overfulfilled this year's recruitment plan. Nearly 410,000 citizens have voluntarily entered military service under contract.

Almost two-thirds of them are young people under the age of 40. More than a third have a university degree or specialised secondary education."

Details: Belousov thanked military district commands and regional heads for their work in staffing Russian forces.
