Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator launches on Steam – photos

The ultra-realistic combat drone simulator Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator (UFDS) by Ukrainian studio Simtech Solutions is now available on Steam, allowing both military trainees and FPV enthusiasts to experience frontline drone operations.

Details: Unlike the popular Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing, which is widely used to train drone pilots and was primarily designed as a civil racing simulator, UFDS is a collaboration between programmers, engineers and Ukrainian military personnel. It is built on real data from the front line, actual drones and authentic combat missions.
Military operators already use UFDS for training, and now civilians can try their skills, potentially before deciding to join Ukraine's defence forces.
"Ukrainian combat drone pilots have been training in UFDS for over two years, and now it is available to everyone," the developers said. "More than 5,000 operators have honed their skills in controlled simulations, performing over 100,000 precise strikes while minimising risks to real drones."
UFDS combines FPS-style reaction speed with RTS-style resource, risk and rotation management. Players pilot drones in FPV mode, manage drone configurations and ammunition, plan missions, and conduct evacuations under limited resources – just like real frontline operators.
Currently, the game has two main modes. Academy, where players can undergo training and improve their skills. This mode also includes Races to develop speed and accuracy. The second mode, Combat Zone, is about applying skills in dynamic scenarios: defending positions, controlling drone swarms and executing precise strikes under pressure. Multiplayer will soon be added to Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator.
UFDS features real combat drones verified on the front line, including Angel Arrow 12", Angel Arrow 15", Mimic 3T, FPV Kamikaze Phantom 7-10", LuckyStrike, along with various bombs and modular mounts.
The Steam version of UFDS is a Starter Edition, adapted for public use. All sensitive elements related to the work of Ukrainian military personnel have been removed from it. Essentially, it is a basic training stage that will help develop the interest and skills of future drone operators. Advanced stages require access to a closed version, available only to verified Ukrainian military personnel.
The simulator supports both English and Ukrainian and is currently exclusive to Steam.
