Political expert Volodymyr Tsybulko expressed this opinion on Espreso TV."So far, Trump's statement about the need for elections is personal pressure on Zelenskyy and nothing more. Because when Trump says: 'Ukraine must hold elections' and doesn't say that Putin agrees to stop hostilities for the sake of elections, then this is simply personal pressure, coercion to some compromises for Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally and nothing more. Because so far, this signal is not read as a signal to Ukrainian society. On the other hand, Ukrainian society is tired of Zelenskyy, this is a fact, undeniable from this fleeting style, which sometimes brings such losses that can only be compared with an enemy. But at the same time, when Trump speaks, the current statement about the need for elections does not look like an appeal to Ukrainian society," he said.According to Volodymyr Tsybulko, Trump understands that appealing to Ukrainian society means guaranteeing a whole range of measures for conducting an election campaign."And as the question is posed now, it looks, in essence, like a signal to Zelenskyy to imitate an election campaign. Zelenskyy, in my opinion, still has the potential, although the electoral potential is not so high, but the administrative potential still remains to imitate an election campaign and write a comfortable result for himself on his knee. These are not the elections that Ukrainian society would want. And if Trump means, after all, the possibility of changing the political style in the country, then the elections in Ukraine must be impeccable. The most important thing is that both the military and especially displaced persons, who number up to 6 million according to various estimates, must take part in these elections," he added.U.S. leader Donald Trump believes "it's time" for presidential elections in Ukraine.
