Ukraine strikes Russian aircraft in Crimea, destroying MiG-29 and radar system

The Prymary (Phantoms) special unit of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter aircraft at the Kacha military airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Quote: "On 4 December 2025, on the territory of the Kacha military airfield in Crimea, members of DIU's Prymary special unit struck a Russian MiG-29 multirole fighter aircraft."
Details: Intelligence reports indicate that on the same night the unit also hit an Irtysh airfield radar system near the temporarily occupied city of Simferopol.
DIU said that their special units continue to systematically degrade Russia's air defence system over occupied Crimea by destroying radars and anti-aircraft missile systems and now also fighter aircraft.
Background : On 21 September 2025, the Prymary (Phantoms) special unit destroyed two Russian Be-12 Chaika anti-submarine amphibious aircraft in temporarily occupied Crimea.
