Half of Ukrainians ready to protest against unacceptable concessions to Russia

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by Info Sapiens, commissioned by the New Europe Center.According to the data obtained, 44.3% of respondents are not ready to participate in protests, and 4.4% are hesitant to answer.At the same time, the study records how much Ukrainians' perception of possible concessions has changed in recent years.40.2% of Ukrainians consider the temporary abandonment of occupied territories absolutely unacceptable. A year ago, 53.2% held this opinion, and a year earlier – 76.2%. However, only 5.1% of Ukrainians consider this concession completely acceptable. Even fewer – only 2% of Ukrainians – are ready for the legal recognition of occupied territories as Russian. 76.6% are categorically against this.The percentage of Ukrainians who consider the refusal of NATO membership absolutely unacceptable is gradually decreasing – currently, 41.1% stated this (a year ago – 48.7%, and two years ago – 56.9%).The refusal to join the EU seems absolutely unacceptable to 51% of Ukrainians, which is even more than last year's figure (50.7%).Similarly, over the year, the number of Ukrainians who consider the reduction of the army absolutely unacceptable has increased (77.9% against 74.5%), as well as granting the Russian language the status of a second state language (73% against 70.9%).However, the percentage of Ukrainians who consider it absolutely unacceptable to reduce the amount of reparations from the Russian Federation (58.7% against 62.2%), refuse criminal prosecution of Russian Federation leaders and war criminals (65% against 68.4%), and lift sanctions (64.1% against 64.8%) is decreasing.The study was conducted from November 5 to November 26, 2025. The sample size was 1,000 respondents.
