Diplomat Oleksandr Matsuka stated this on Espreso TV."I have my own version regarding Kushner and Witkoff's visit to Moscow. We all understand that no political figure in Ukraine can agree to surrender territories. What is called 'territory exchange' is a surrender of territories. Even if they find the most pro-Russian figure in Ukraine, he will not be able to do this either. This is Putin's unattainable goal - to get unconquered territories at the expense of, as they say, a 'peace deal,'" the diplomat noted. In his opinion, Witkoff and Kushner's business proposal could be as follows: hostilities end along the contact line, the U.S. recognizes territories captured by Russia as Russian, and possibly even uncaptured territories as Russian, and may also force Ukraine to agree not to reclaim these territories."Today, December 2, news came that the U.S. allegedly told Europeans that, in the event of agreements being reached, the Russians would get their frozen assets back. This means that there is no longer any talk of Ukraine's recovery, because Russia will get its money back. This is exactly what could be the 'deal' where they might try to buy off Putin. Whether Putin will go for it or not is another question, because he believes he can get more. Although Russians have a manner of demanding more than they can swallow. Therefore, it is quite possible that the Russians will go for this, which could become a difficult compromise for Ukraine. But such an agreement destroys and buries international law, because it breaks the modern security structure," Matsuka commented.Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, before Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff's visit to Moscow on December 2, stated that Russia is "open to negotiations," but "must achieve its goals" in the war.
