Diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi stated this on Espreso TV."The current situation indicates that both Washington and Kyiv are searching for common approaches and developing a coordinated position. How acceptable this position is to both sides, and whether it is merely an exploration of how each side perceives it, is difficult for me to say.Especially after the meeting in Florida, there was a deficit of information that I did not expect. At the very least, I expected the Ukrainian side to clearly state: our position was based on the norms of international law and the Constitution of Ukraine, which would have been more or less clear," Bezsmertnyi noted. The diplomat added that, according to Donald Trump and the Washington team, there might be intentions regarding territorial exchange, but after this meeting, we do not see a clear response from the Ukrainian team. Although President Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated that he will not deviate from the norms of the Constitution. However, we do not know what exactly is contained in the directives and to what extent this issue was discussed."I want to draw attention to the fact that such secrecy, from the point of view of law and politics, carries enormous danger. And to warn those who try to conceal such things: sooner or later, you risk being accused of conspiracy or even treason, because the topic concerns territorial integrity – and this is a very serious issue. In such cases, publicity and at least official confirmation of compliance with the Constitution are extremely necessary after such meetings," Bezsmertnyi emphasized. On Saturday, November 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, along with his team, had already departed for the United States for further discussions on the peace plan.
