Over 600 windows and balconies damaged along Kharkiv Motorway in Kyiv, traffic resumed – photo

It has emerged that a Russian-launched aerial asset fell next to a residential building on Kharkiv Motorway in Kyiv on the night of 28-29 November, which sparked a fire in an apartment block and blew out windows in all nearby buildings. The attack claimed the life of one civilian and left 17 people injured.

Details: Earlier, Tkachenko said that traffic on Kharkiv Motorway was restored after being closed since the night.

Background:
- On the night of 28-29 November and the following morning, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine, using about 36 missiles and almost 600 drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia's main targets were energy infrastructure and civilian facilities.
- In Kyiv, blocks of flats and houses in several districts have been damaged in the attack. Two people have been killed in the capital and another 37 have been injured.
- Half a million Kyiv residents have been left without power as a result of the attacks. Electricity supply has later been restored for some consumers.
- Officials reported earlier that traffic on Kharkiv Motorway in the capital had been closed during Russia's combined attack, with trolleybus and tram services on the right bank of the city delayed.
