Russian Shahed and Gerbera drones form radio network for real-time control, says expert – photos

Russia is installing radio modems on Shahed and Gerbera loitering munitions, forming a network that complicates Ukrainian countermeasures. The devices run on different frequencies.

Quote: "Bad news. The enemy hasn't limited itself to a single Chinese-made modem in the 1300-1500 MHz range; it's started using modems in other frequency bands. Here are the first captured units from several Shaheds.
A modem from another manufacturer operates in the 3200-3400 MHz range. Similar modems in the 2700-2900 MHz range have also been detected on the airwaves. I'm attaching possible frequency ranges produced by Chinese manufacturers. As you can see, our radio war is just beginning."
According to Flash, data from such a network is transmitted directly to Russia, and jamming it is difficult because it forms an entire web. This enables the Russians to gather intelligence while controlling the drones in real time.
Background: Earlier, Flash reported on a new Ukrainian satellite internet system called UASAT. Developers created ground terminals for it, but each device comes at a high cost of US$2,500.
