One killed, seven injured in Russian attack on Kyiv – photos

Strikes on high-rise residential buildings have been recorded in both the Pecherskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv, with damage and fire reported at the scene. One person has been killed and seven injured.

Details: Klitschko said that weapons debris had hit a residential building in the Pecherskyi district of the capital.
The strike caused a fire in the high-rise building, spreading across several floors. The fire was recorded between the third and sixth floors.
Later, Tkachenko reported another strike on a residential building.
"There is a fire on the upper floors of a nine-storey residential building in the Dniprovskyi district as a result of the attack," he said.
Tkachenko wrote at around 03:00 that, according to early reports, four people in the Dniprovskyi district had sought medical treatment.
Updated: Tkachenko later reported that one person had been killed and three injured.
"Further calls for medical help are possible. Emergency services are working with residents at the scene and dealing with the aftermath of the attack," he added.
Background:
- On the night of 24-25 November, Russian forces launched another large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, using various types of weapons. They used sea-launched cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and many drones.
- At around 01:00, a series of powerful explosions was heard in Kyiv. Earlier, Ukraine's Air Force had warned of ballistic missile launches from Russian territory towards the capital and an attack by drones.
- Klitschko said that some districts of the capital were experiencing disruptions to electricity and water supplies.
