Ukraine's Air Force reveals which missiles Russia used to strike multi-storey buildings in Ternopil

Russian forces have struck apartment buildings in Ternopil with Kh-101 cruise missiles, which contain components from the United States, China, Taiwan, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.

Details: It is reported that law enforcement officers are currently examining the wreckage of these missiles.
As of 16:00, the wreckage of a cruise missile that had struck a nine-storey building has been found and identified. According to the Air Force, it was a Kh-101 missile produced in the fourth quarter of 2025.
In addition, the Air Force stressed that a Russian missile of this class contains components and assemblies manufactured by companies based in the United States, China and Taiwan, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries.
The Kh-101 is a long-range Russian cruise missile launched from strategic bombers that is capable of striking targets at a distance of over 5,000 kilometres. It flies at low altitude, uses stealth technologies and a route-correction system, making it difficult to intercept. The missile carries a powerful warhead.

- On the morning of 19 November, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
- An apartment building was destroyed in Ternopil as a result of the Russian attack.
- Later, Yurii Ihnat, the spokesperson for the Air Force Command, reported that a Russian Kh-101 missile struck the building in Ternopil.
- As of 15:00 on 19 November, it is known that the Russian attack claimed the lives of 25 people in Ternopil, including three children.
