Retired Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Close the Sky of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, stated this on Espreso TV."The situation has become critical. The enemy is managing to establish a foothold in the southern and western parts, in the center, and the industrial zone. Units and parts of the Ukrainian Defense Forces control the northern part, as well as the section through which logistical support and routes to this same northern part are provided. And there has been, so to speak, an advancement of logistics that directly supplies our units still in Pokrovsk, as well as in Myrnohrad through Pokrovsk," he noted.Ihor Romanenko also said that the Russians are trying to advance in Myrnohrad as well."In Myrnohrad, the Russian army is attempting to advance from two directions: from Novoekonomichne to the east and from the city's southern flank. In addition, further north in the Dobropillia area, Ukrainian Defense Forces are working to eliminate a central pocket of enemy troops that was isolated by earlier wedge maneuvers. Logistics are now being established to support the operation in this central area, where intense battles are taking place," he said.Over the past day, November 16, there were 216 battles on the front, the majority of which were in the Pokrovsk direction.
