On the North Slobozhanshchyna front, fighters from the mobile unit Stalevyi Kordon (Steel Border) destroyed a camouflaged Russian D-20 howitzer on Russian territory using a fibre-optic-controlled drone.

Details: According to the State Border Guard Service, operators from the Aquila drone squad of the 15th Mobile Border Detachment detected the artillery piece more than 15 km behind front lines.

Despite difficult conditions – dense forest cover – the Ukrainian drone successfully manoeuvred between trees and struck the target with precision.

The service noted that this result demonstrates both the high level of UAV operator training and the effectiveness of modern technologies that Ukrainian forces continuously adapt to combat realities.
