Ukraine's Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrynchuk has submitted her resignation.

Quote: "I have written a letter of resignation. The position has never been an end in itself for me."

Details: Hrynchuk said that there had been "no violations of the law" in her professional activities, adding that "such facts cannot exist in principle".

She also said that speculation on this matter is "inappropriate" and that "time will put everything in order".

Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk must step down following a corruption investigation in the energy sector. He instructed Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko to submit their resignation letters.
