Ukraine strikes key Russian oil refinery, disrupting production of over 30 petroleum products

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information."As part of reducing the enemy's offensive potential and complicating the supply of fuel and ammunition to the occupying forces' military units, on November 11, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the facilities of the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Russia's Orenburg region," the statement said.It is noted that explosions and a fire were recorded at the facility, and one of the primary oil refining units was reportedly hit; the results are being clarified.As the General Staff noted, the plant produces more than 30 types of petroleum products — gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene, oils, etc. Its design capacity is 6.6 million tons of oil per year, and it is involved in providing for the invading Russian forces."The Defense Forces will continue to take measures to undermine the offensive potential of the Russian invaders and force the Russian Federation to cease armed aggression against Ukraine," the statement added.On the night of November 11, Russian authorities in Saratov reported a drone attack, which led to a fire at an oil refinery in the city.
