Several trains are experiencing significant delays due to damage to the railway infrastructure in Poltava Oblast.

Details : Ukrzaliznytsia reported that several stations in Poltava Oblast are without power and that sections of the overhead line network had been damaged.

As a result, several trains will face substantial delays along their routes, as these sections can only be operated by diesel locomotives. Commuter trains in Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts will also run with possible delays of around one and a half to two hours.

Specifically, seven trains are already expected to be at least 2 hours 30 minutes late. The longest delay is for the Kyiv – Kharkiv train, at 6 hours 30 minutes:

• № 720 Kyiv – Kharkiv +6:30 hours
• № 22/21 Kharkiv – Lviv +2:30 hours
• № 111/112 Lviv – Izium +5 hours
• № 63/64 Lviv – Kharkiv +5 hours
• № 103/104 Husarivka – Lviv +4 hours
• № 17/18 Uzhhorod – Kharkiv +3:40 hours
• № 227/228 Husarivka – Ivano-Frankivsk +3:30 hours

Quote : "For passengers of train №725 Kharkiv – Kyiv Intercity+, boarding will be organised via Poltava, where they will be taken by electric train.

Accordingly, passengers of train №720 Kyiv – Kharkiv Intercity+ will be transported from Poltava to the final station in Kharkiv by electric train.

Also, train №72/71 Lviv – Pavlohrad will run only as far as Samar-Dniprovskyi station due to the consequences of enemy strikes."

Background : The city of Horishni Plavni in Poltava Oblast had been left without electricity, water and heating due to Russian strikes. Reports of power outages were recorded in the city of Kremenchuk.
