Quote from Zelenskyy: "The enemy… carried out assault actions involving armour on 5 [November]. They lost the equipment, but the enemy's No. 1 goal is to occupy Pokrovsk as quickly as possible. That goal remains. You can see it from the number of assaults. There have been 220 assaults on Pokrovsk over the past three days. Inside the city itself, according to military data, there are 314 Russian troops."
Details: Zelenskyy said the pressure on this front remains very high.
The 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces reported the following about the situation in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad as of 14:00 on 7 November.
Ukraine's defence forces are continuing search-and-destroy operations to identify and wipe out Russian troops in Pokrovsk. Combat efforts across the city and its outskirts are being carried out by drone operators, assault and air assault units, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service, the National Guard, the National Police and others.
The Russians are reported to have reduced their activity in the city and decreased the number of movements. They are seeking to minimise losses while awaiting reinforcements from their main grouping.
This is confirmed by Russian attempts to establish logistics through the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk. In this area, they made several attempts to move personnel using vehicles and motorcycles, but Ukraine's defence forces said they have prevented them from doing so.
In recent days, Russian troops have made several attempts to infiltrate the settlement of Hryshyne. They tried to mislead Ukrainian forces by approaching the settlement disguised as civilians, but Ukrainian troops repelled them.
The situation remains tense near Myrnohrad.
The 7th Corps reports that following multiple unsuccessful assaults from the east, Russian forces will likely attempt to advance from a different direction.
