Pokrovsk remains the main direction of the Russian offensive, as the largest share of daily Russian assault operations is concentrated on this section of the front compared to other areas of the front line."Over the past day, 205 combat engagements took place on the front, with the Defense Forces repelling 84 attacks by Russian invaders in the Pokrovsk direction."Ukrainian defenders stopped the aggressor's assault actions in the areas of Maiak, Nykanorivka, Fedorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Myroliubivka, Pokrovsk, Lysivka, Zvirove, Novopavlivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoseriivka, Muravka, Filiia, and Yalta.In Pokrovsk, according to analysts, Russian infantry operates using methods of sabotage and reconnaissance groups, not conducting a systematic assault on urban areas in its classical sense, meaning there are no sequential building-by-building, block-by-block attacks. They try to move covertly, often using civilian clothes for disguise. Such enemy groups attack the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces only when they consider it advantageous and guaranteeing them success.Moreover, the battles in Pokrovsk from the Ukrainian side are, accordingly, battles for key points, not for every house. Therefore, and of course, actions by small assault groups allow the enemy to create breakthroughs, which are already widely known, namely: battles in the central part of the city. Effectively at the Industrial Zone (area of the 9th fire and rescue unit) - Pokrovsk railway station line.The invading Russian forces, with small assault groups, are trying to take control of the locations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces directly in Pokrovsk itself, cut off Ukrainian groupings concentrated, in particular, in the territory of the so-called 'Promka' (industrial zone) and create a threat of operational encirclement.On the western flank of the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army holds positions along the Udachne – Kovalykha agricultural firm line.
