Belgian intelligence services reportedly believe Russia is behind recent drone incidents

Belgian intelligence services have been reported to believe that Russia is most likely responsible for the series of recent drone incidents which have disrupted air traffic and military operations is the work of the foreign state.

Details: Belga's sources pointed to several signs of foreign involvement in the recent drone sightings. Among other things, the drones were flying in specific formations, at night and in proximity to critical Belgian facilities.
Belgian intelligence services concluded that such activity "goes beyond the capabilities of amateurs", Belga reported.
Concerns about possible Russian involvement have increased amidst talks of using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, most of which are held in the Brussels-based Euroclear depository.
Background:
- Air traffic at airports in Brussels and Liège was suspended on the evening of 4 November for safety reasons following reports of unidentified drones flying nearby.
- More suspicious drones were spotted later over the Kleine-Brogel military base in the east of the country.
- An emergency meeting of Belgium's National Security Council was scheduled for Thursday 6 November in light of the drone incidents.
