Ukrainian border guards from the Hart Brigade have destroyed a Russian Murom-M long-range surveillance system on the South Slobozhanshchyna front near the town of Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details: The border guards reported that the Russian Murom-M system had been used to detect Ukrainian troops and equipment. Drone operators and artillery crews from the Hart Brigade destroyed other assets during the operation such as communication systems, vehicles and drone launch positions operated by Russian forces.

A serviceman who goes by the alias Jack from the Furiia reconnaissance and attack UAV unit said the Murom-M system had been detected with the help of a Mavic reconnaissance drone. The first attempt to strike it with a conventional first-person view drone failed, as the Russians had camouflaged the system effectively among trees, but a second strike using a fibre-optic drone hit the target accurately.
