Details: Vladimir Oblast Governor Aleksandr Avdeyev reported that a drone attack had occurred on an energy facility in the suburbs of Vladimir. He said that "specialists are working at the scene and all vital systems are operating as normal."
"With daylight, work to deal with the aftermath will begin. Please stay calm," he wrote on Telegram.
In addition, explosions were also heard near the thermal power plant in Oryol. According to OSINT analysis by ASTRA and information from local residents, a series of powerful explosions occurred in the city, most likely near the local combined heat and power plant.
The Oryol Oblast governor claimed that "air defence forces destroyed enemy UAVs and debris damaged several houses and an outbuilding." Meanwhile, local residents are convinced that that was a missile attack. This version is also supported by ASTRA's OSINT analysts.
Less than a kilometre from the Oryol power plant is the defence facility Oreltekmash, which produces equipment for servicing and evacuating military vehicles.
Background: The Oryol power plant was already attacked on the night of 30-31 October. At that time, the Ukrainian Navy reported that the facility had been hit by Neptune cruise missiles. According to ASTRA, the first strike hit the plant's open switchgear, causing a large-scale power outage in the city.
For reference : The Oryol thermal power plant is the largest source of electricity and heating in the oblast, providing both power and heat supply.
