Quote: "At present there is no encirclement or blockade of the cities in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad urban area. Nor are any of the units of Ukraine's defence forces encircled.
Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to maintain logistics."
Details: Kovalov said the situation in Pokrovsk remains difficult, but a comprehensive operation is underway to detect Russian troops within the city, wipe them out, and push the Russians out of Pokrovsk.
Background:
- Operational Strategic Group Skhid (East) reported that as of 19:00 on 4 November, Russian troops had made 27 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions on the Pokrovsk front. The defence forces are holding back the Russian assault and have repelled 23 attacks.
- Search and strike operations are ongoing in Pokrovsk, as are coordinated actions by all components of Ukraine's defence and security forces. The Russians are suffering losses and there is no encirclement of the city. Logistics, though complicated, remain functional, the military reported.
- The search and strike operations to locate and wipe out Russian troops in Pokrovsk involve members of the Unmanned Systems Forces, assault units, Special Operations Forces, Military Police, Security Service of Ukraine and Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
