Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) carried out strikes on two key facilities of Russia's oil processing infrastructure on the night of 3-4 November.

Details : The SOF attacked the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant in the Republic of Bashkortostan (more than 1,300 km away from the Ukrainian border), a major producer of components for aviation fuel, rubber and butylated hydroxytoluene. The plant plays a crucial role in Russia's military-industrial complex and is a significant source of revenue for the Russian state budget.

Local authorities have confirmed the explosions and destruction that occurred at the plant.

SOF also confirmed that they carried out a joint strike with Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and Unmanned Systems Forces on the Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, one of Russia's largest refineries.
