This is stated on the European Commission's website.“Despite Russia's unrelenting war of aggression, Ukraine remains strongly committed to its EU accession path, having successfully completed the screening process and advanced on key reforms,” the report emphasizes. The European Commission has positively assessed Ukraine's roadmaps on the rule of law, public administration, the functioning of democratic institutions, and the action plan on national minorities."Ukraine has met the conditions required to open clusters: one (fundamentals), six (external relations), and two (internal market). The Commission expects Ukraine to meet the conditions to open the remaining three clusters and works to ensure that the Council is in a position to take forward the opening of all clusters before the end of the year," the report said. The European Commission expressed its readiness to support the Ukrainian government's goal of completing negotiations on EU accession by the end of 2028, but stressed the need to accelerate reforms, especially in the areas of fundamentals and the rule of law.Zelenskyy's responseThe president stressed that this is the best assessment result to date and proof that even while defending itself against full-scale Russian aggression, Ukraine continues to reform and change in line with European standards."Ukraine’s progress on the path to the EU is achieved by efforts of millions of our people. I am grateful to every Ukrainian who works daily for our independence, for our state, and to everyone who supports these efforts, and certainly to all of our brave warriors, who fight for Ukraine, for their brothers-in-arms, and for the very possibility of a safe, united, and free Europe with Ukraine as its integral part," Zelenskyy wrote. He also expressed his expectation that the European Union would take decisive action to remove all “artificial obstacles” on the path to a strong and united Europe.Earlier that day, Reuters reported that the European Commission had emphasized Ukraine's remarkable commitment to the path to the EU, noting the need to resolve the issue of corruption and accelerate the reform of the judicial system.
