Zelenskyy announces Patriot delivery from Germany: Agreements fulfilled

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that agreements reached with Germany on the supply of Patriot air defence systems have been fulfilled.

For some time, we have been preparing this reinforcement of our air defence, and now the agreements reached have been implemented. I thank everyone who contributed to this effort!"
Details: Zelenskyy added that negotiations on further joint steps to bolster Ukraine's air defence are ongoing at both government level and directly with manufacturers of the necessary systems.

Background:
- In July, it became known that the US and Germany had agreed to provide Ukraine with five Patriot air defence systems, which were to be delivered to the battlefield as soon as possible.
- At the end of September, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius announced the delivery of two Patriot systems to Ukraine by the end of 2025.
- On 20 October, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was preparing a contract with a US manufacturer to purchase 25 Patriot systems.
