Russia has killed 661 children since start of full-scale invasion — Ukraine's Prosecutor General

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported the information.Currently, on the 1,342nd day of the full-scale war, Ukraine is investigating 5,363 criminal cases based on the six most severe crimes against children during wartime, as defined by a UN Security Council resolution."And all six are committed by Russia daily, here, before the eyes of the world... During this time, the Russian Federation has: killed 661 children; wounded 2,203 children; destroyed or damaged over 4,500 schools, kindergartens, and 1,294 hospitals," Kravchenko stated.He also emphasized that the Russians have abducted and deported over 19,000 Ukrainian children, and have committed at least 23 cases of sexual violence against children.The Prosecutor General noted that as a result of a Russian Shahed drone attack in Kyiv on October 26, a 19-year-old girl was killed, and seven children were injured. On the same day, children aged 8 and 15 were harmed due to a Russian strike on a minibus in the Sumy region."Every case is evidence of a deliberate policy of terror, an attempt to destroy Ukrainians as a nation. Ukrainian prosecutors, together with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are investigating every crime," stressed the head of the Prosecutor General's Office.On October 9, Ukraine successfully returned a group of 23 children and teenagers from the temporarily occupied territories as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
