He made this statement in an interview with Axios.Following a meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Zelenskyy, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggested putting forward a peace proposal modeled on Trump’s plan for the Gaza Strip.Zelenskyy discussed the issue with Starmer and other European leaders last week. He told them that the situations in Gaza and Ukraine are different but that he is ready to work on a plan.According to the Ukrainian president, the plan should be short and without too many details.“Some quick points. Like a plan for a ceasefire. We decided we will work on it in the next week or ten days,” he said.At the same time, Zelenskyy is skeptical that Putin is willing to accept any peace plan.Zelenskyy also stated that Ukrainian intelligence discovered that Putin privately boasted to his allies that Russia would occupy the entire Donbas by October 15, but that deadline has passed.“Russia can't do it. He doesn't have enough people. His strong battalions have been destroyed. Today on the battlefield, we stay mostly where we stood during this last 2–3 months,” he added. On October 24, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing took place in London attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to deliver new Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine, while the United Kingdom announced it would provide Kyiv with 5,000 air defense missiles.
