The Ukrainian defence forces have repelled another Russian assault involving armoured vehicles, motorbikes and quad bikes in the area of Chasiv Yar.

Quote: "In the morning of 20 October, in the area of responsibility of the 24th Brigade, the Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to break through using armoured vehicles, motorbikes and quad bikes."

Details: The brigade reported that MT-LB and BMP-1 armoured vehicles equipped with anti-drone protection, two quad bikes and three motorbikes were destroyed. Two more armoured vehicles were hit while approaching and rolled back.

The military also reported that 20 Russian soldiers were killed and 11 more injured. The report stated that the killed soldiers "paid with their lives for the contract they signed with the Russian armed forces".

The assault was repelled by soldiers of the 24th Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo, the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 101st Guard Brigade of General Staff and the 427th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems RAROG.

"The defence of the city is ongoing," the military added.
