This was stated on Espreso by Vitalii “Stokhid” Pyasetskyi, senior sergeant of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Kholodnyi Yar.“As for Bakhmut, I can’t say much — our brigade has shifted slightly from that area of responsibility. But we can clearly see why the enemy aims to move into larger cities — we see the same on the Pokrovsk front. No matter what, there are always remnants — you can’t really call it infrastructure anymore — but there are basements and other shelters where the enemy can concentrate personnel and hide,” he said. The serviceman added that any populated area effectively becomes a logistical hub — for both sides.“That’s why the enemy wants to enter major cities. They’re now focused on Kostyantynivka — to enter, entrench, find cover, and keep pushing forward. Because with winter, cold, and rain, it’s always better to spend the season in a basement than in a trench or a forest belt somewhere near Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, or elsewhere,” Pyasetskyi summarized.Earlier, Espreso reported that 100th Mechanized Brigade spokesperson Serhii Khominskyi said the enemy continues to bring in new units toward the Kostyantynivka sector.
