Total blackout in Chernihiv: city switches to generators after Russian attacks

The city of Chernihiv has been left completely without electricity as a result of Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast. Critical infrastructure has been switched to alternative power sources. The authorities are urging residents to stock up on water.

Details: Chernihivvodokanal reported a critical situation caused by the complete power outage in the city on the morning of 21 October.
Quote: "Dear residents of Chernihiv! The situation speaks for itself – the facilities of Chernihivvodokanal are without power, as is the entire city. Our staff began launching facilities using alternative power sources today, 21 October, from 05:30. We are making every effort to ensure water supply with sufficient pressure for the lower floors of high-rise buildings. Please make water reserves in advance."
Details: Chernihivvodokanal also noted that drinking water will be delivered to certain areas of the city in the morning, with further information to follow.
